Rupee Font - Free Download

The good news is that Foradian Technologies, an Indian company has come up with the rupee font, and it is now available for download for free.

1. CLICK HERE and download the Rupee Font Version 2.0

2. Copy the font, go to START--SETTINGS--CONTROL PANEL -- FONTS, and paste it there.

3. Open MS Word, go to INSERT -- SYMBOL and select RUPEE FORADIAN from the drop-down menu, select symbol, insert.

4. In case you don't find the symbol, the first time, open MS WORD, go to FORMAT -- FONT, Select Rupee Foradan from the Font drop down menu, click ok and then click ~ key [the key above the tab key].

The only limitation now is that it works only on computers where this font is installed till unicode accepts this.

Kudos to Foradian for coming out with this so fast!!

I tried it and its working...the only problem is, every time for us to get the symbol, we have to follow the same format..FORMAT -- FONT, Select Rupee Foradan from the Font drop down menu, click ok and then click ~ key.

The second time ownwards, after opening MS WORD, you can go to Insert -- SYMBOLS -- Select frrom FONT dropdown menu Rupee Foradian and use it once. Third time onwards, no issues - Insert, symbol and the first symbol will be rupee. Or just follow alt+I+S and enter.
